Be Prepared for Class

  • Field runs start at the time stated above. Please arrive a few minutes early to complete sign-in procedures.
  • CAA smoke schools are digital - bring a fully-charged smart phone or tablet. Extra devices will be available for use if you do not have a mobile device.

Smoke School Duration

  • One-Day Smoke Schools: Field certification ends when attendees who arrived at the start time are certified, or no longer wish to attempt to become certified.
  • Two-Day and Three-Day Smoke Schools: Field certification runs until the stated end time; students still requiring certification will come back for the subsequent day(s) of class. The final day of smoke school ends when attendees who arrived at the start time are certified, or no longer wish to attempt to become certified.

SELF-PACED LECTURE (default format)

CAA's self-paced lecture fulfills EPA Method 9 requirements and is approved by TCEQ for Texas students.

    Field Certification Smoke School: $225
    Self-Paced Lecture Course: $50

     SESSION NOTES  This is a TWO DAY school sponsored by Texas Petrochemicals. On the FIRST DAY registration for the lecture begins at 7:00 am so that the lecture can begin promptly at 7:30 am. A light lunch will be served. The field runs begin at 2:00 pm. On the SECOND DAY the field runs begin at 8:00 am. The school will be considered CLOSED when all the employees who were present at 8:00 am have passed. Those who are field certifying (ONLY) are encouraged to test on the SECOND day; however, if there are shift or scheduling problems, feel free to test on the FIRST day. DIRECTIONS to (8600 Park Place Blvd Houston)from the WEST. From 610 Loop, take 225E (toward Pasadena). Take the Goodyear Dr. exit (same as West Rd.) Make a right turn and then an immediate right onto Goodyear Dr. following the road between parking lots (Goodyear plant and Texas Petrochemicals are on the left.) Go to the Security check point.

    DIRECTIONS to (8600 Park Place Blvd Houston)from the EAST. Head west on 225E. Take the Allen-Genoa Rd. exit. Continue on the frontage road to Goodyear Dr. Turn left on Goodyear Dr. after going under the 225 overpass, just after the exit off 225 make a right turn onto Goodyear Dr. following the road between parking lots (Goodyear plant and Texas Petrochemicals are on the left.) Go to the Security check point.
