Be Prepared for Class

  • Field runs start at the time stated above. Please arrive a few minutes early to complete sign-in procedures.
  • CAA smoke schools are digital - bring a fully-charged smart phone or tablet. Extra devices will be available for use if you do not have a mobile device.

Smoke School Duration

  • One-Day Smoke Schools: Field certification ends when attendees who arrived at the start time are certified, or no longer wish to attempt to become certified.
  • Two-Day and Three-Day Smoke Schools: Field certification runs until the stated end time; students still requiring certification will come back for the subsequent day(s) of class. The final day of smoke school ends when attendees who arrived at the start time are certified, or no longer wish to attempt to become certified.

SELF-PACED LECTURE (default format)

CAA's self-paced lecture fulfills EPA Method 9 requirements and is approved by TCEQ for Texas students.

    Self-Paced Lecture Course: $50

     SESSION NOTES  This is a TWO DAY school sponsored by Texas Petrochemicals. On the FIRST DAY registration for the lecture begins at 7:00 am so that the lecture can begin promptly at 7:30 am. The field runs begin at 2:00 pm. On the SECOND DAY the field runs begin at 8:00 am. The school will be considered CLOSED when we have went through 8 runs or at 12:00 p.m.. Those who are field certifying (ONLY) are encouraged to test on the SECOND day; however, if there are shift or scheduling problems, feel free to test on the FIRST day. DIRECTIONS: Please note that Google and Mapquest maps may not be correct. Follow these CORRECT Directions. Texas Petrochemicals is located at 8600 Park Place Blvd. From 610 Loop, take 225E (toward Pasadena). Take first exit, Goodyear Dr. (same as West Rd.) Make a right turn and then an immediate right onto Goodyear Dr. (Goodyear plant and Texas Petrochemicals are on the left.) Go to the Security check point. They can direct you to the site, which is at the end of the road on the right.
