Be Prepared for Class

  • Field runs start at the time stated above. Please arrive a few minutes early to complete sign-in procedures.
  • CAA smoke schools are digital - bring a fully-charged smart phone or tablet. Extra devices will be available for use if you do not have a mobile device.

Smoke School Duration

  • One-Day Smoke Schools: Field certification ends when attendees who arrived at the start time are certified, or no longer wish to attempt to become certified.
  • Two-Day and Three-Day Smoke Schools: Field certification runs until the stated end time; students still requiring certification will come back for the subsequent day(s) of class. The final day of smoke school ends when attendees who arrived at the start time are certified, or no longer wish to attempt to become certified.

SELF-PACED LECTURE (default format)

CAA's self-paced lecture fulfills EPA Method 9 requirements and is approved by TCEQ for Texas students.

    •  PRICING  Registrations received within less than 7 days from the start of class will be assessed a $25 late fee.

    Field Certification Smoke School: $225
    Self-Paced Lecture Course: $50

     SESSION NOTES  This is a two day school. The first day begins with the lecture in rm 158 starting promptly at 7:30 and finishing at 2:00 with field exercises following until 5:00. The second day of school starts with field exercises at 8:00 until 11:59 am , once we complete up to 8 runs or if employees wish to no longer attempt the certification.

    Directions:I-20 E take the Estes exit onto hwy 149.Turn left at second signal onto Estes Dr. At Eastman sign turn right. you will turn right again and wind around to the pavilion for the field exercises.

    To attend lecture follow directions noted above to the Eastman sign. Staying on Estes pass the credit union and turn right into lot for Learning Services Bldg 86 room 115
