Be Prepared for Class

  • Field runs start at the time stated above. Please arrive a few minutes early to complete sign-in procedures.
  • CAA smoke schools are digital - bring a fully-charged smart phone or tablet. Extra devices will be available for use if you do not have a mobile device.

Smoke School Duration

  • One-Day Smoke Schools: Field certification ends when attendees who arrived at the start time are certified, or no longer wish to attempt to become certified.
  • Two-Day and Three-Day Smoke Schools: Field certification runs until the stated end time; students still requiring certification will come back for the subsequent day(s) of class. The final day of smoke school ends when attendees who arrived at the start time are certified, or no longer wish to attempt to become certified.

SELF-PACED LECTURE (default format)

CAA's self-paced lecture fulfills EPA Method 9 requirements and is approved by TCEQ for Texas students.

    Field Certification Smoke School: $225
    Self-Paced Lecture Course: $50

     SESSION NOTES  This is a two day school that offers the lecture and the field certification. The lecture meets at St. Stephen United Methodist Church, and the field runs meet at Randol Mill Park Pavilion. Registration for the lecture begins at 7:00 am so that the lecture can begin promptly at 7:30 am. A light lunch will be served. The field runs begin at 2:00 pm. Day two field runs begin at 8:00 am. DIRECTIONS: St. Stephen UMC is located at 1800 West Randol Mill Rd. in Arlington. Randol Mill Park is located at 1924 West Randol Mill Rd. (across from the church). From I-30 take Fielder Rd. exit. Go south and turn right on West Randol Mill Rd. Go 1/2 mile. The church is on the left. The park is on the right; look for the purple ball field.
