Be Prepared for Class

  • Field runs start at the time stated above. Please arrive a few minutes early to complete sign-in procedures.
  • CAA smoke schools are digital - bring a fully-charged smart phone or tablet. Extra devices will be available for use if you do not have a mobile device.

Smoke School Duration

  • One-Day Smoke Schools: Field certification ends when attendees who arrived at the start time are certified, or no longer wish to attempt to become certified.
  • Two-Day and Three-Day Smoke Schools: Field certification runs until the stated end time; students still requiring certification will come back for the subsequent day(s) of class. The final day of smoke school ends when attendees who arrived at the start time are certified, or no longer wish to attempt to become certified.

SELF-PACED LECTURE (default format)

CAA's self-paced lecture fulfills EPA Method 9 requirements and is approved by TCEQ for Texas students.

     SESSION NOTES  Montrose sponsored Smoke School in Mobile-Spanish Fort

    Field Activities start at 8:00 AM and continue until 11AM we then break for lunch provided by Montrose and conduct the lecture over lunch and if necessary will continue field runs in the afternoon after the lecture. Those attending for the first time should arrive by 7:30 AM for a brief review of field activities.

    Take I-10 East toward Pensacola (go approximately 15 miles)
    Take Exit 38 Spanish Fort/ Malbis � Take left onto 181N Malbis Plantation Pkwy go 1 mile to Hwy 31
    Turn right on Hwy 31E go 0.5 miles
    Turn right onto Old Hwy 31 and follow around for about 1 mile
    Turn right into Industrial Park (Boots Thomas Drive) and come back about 0.5 miles and the Montrose office is on the left, 2nd floor of the Marspec Building.


    From Pensacola (50 miles):
    I-10 W to toward Mobile (go approximately 40 miles)
    Take Exit 38 Spanish Fort/ Malbis � Take right onto 181N Malbis Plantation Pkwy go 1 mile to Hwy 31
    Turn right on Hwy 31E go 0.5 miles
    Turn right onto Old Hwy 31 and follow around for about 1 mile
