Be Prepared for Class

  • Field runs start at the time stated above. Please arrive a few minutes early to complete sign-in procedures.
  • CAA smoke schools are digital - bring a fully-charged smart phone or tablet. Extra devices will be available for use if you do not have a mobile device.

Smoke School Duration

  • One-Day Smoke Schools: Field certification ends when attendees who arrived at the start time are certified, or no longer wish to attempt to become certified.
  • Two-Day and Three-Day Smoke Schools: Field certification runs until the stated end time; students still requiring certification will come back for the subsequent day(s) of class. The final day of smoke school ends when attendees who arrived at the start time are certified, or no longer wish to attempt to become certified.

SELF-PACED LECTURE (default format)

CAA's self-paced lecture fulfills EPA Method 9 requirements and is approved by TCEQ for Texas students.

    •  PRICING  Registrations received within less than 7 days from the start of class will be assessed a $25 late fee.

    Field Certification Smoke School: $225
    Self-Paced Lecture Course: $50

     SESSION NOTES  This Two DAY school offers the lecture and the field certification at
    Oyster Creek Park 134 Linda Ln. Registration for the lecture begins at 7:00 am so that the lecture can begin promptly at 7:30 am. A light lunch will be served. The field runs begin at 2:00.

    Additional Personnel were brought in so that testing could be completed on Thursday, as the Venue was being cancelled for Friday because of recommended Evacuation due to Hurricane Harvey.
    No Lecture on the second day Field runs will begin at 8:00 AM


    DIRECTIONS:
    From Freeport TX: take Farm to Market 523 N. Turn right onto Linda Ln. Proceed to the Stop Sign and turn right into the community center parking lot Buldingis on the right 134 Linda Ln

    Proceed past 134 Linda Lane and take a right at the stop sign.
