Be Prepared for Class

  • Field runs start at the time stated above. Please arrive a few minutes early to complete sign-in procedures.
  • CAA smoke schools are digital - bring a fully-charged smart phone or tablet. Extra devices will be available for use if you do not have a mobile device.

Smoke School Duration

  • One-Day Smoke Schools: Field certification ends when attendees who arrived at the start time are certified, or no longer wish to attempt to become certified.
  • Two-Day and Three-Day Smoke Schools: Field certification runs until the stated end time; students still requiring certification will come back for the subsequent day(s) of class. The final day of smoke school ends when attendees who arrived at the start time are certified, or no longer wish to attempt to become certified.

SELF-PACED LECTURE (default format)

CAA's self-paced lecture fulfills EPA Method 9 requirements and is approved by TCEQ for Texas students.

     SESSION NOTES  Virginia Transportation and Construction Association (VTCA)handles all registrations for this school. Please call (804-330-3312). This school will be held at Mountain Materials Glade Spring Plant at 14196 Monroe Rd, Glade Spring, VA. FROM POINTS NORTH AND SOUTH: Take exit 29 (route 91). From the south, turn right: from the north, turn left. Continue throught the stoplight at the interesection of Route 11. Continue on Monroe Road (Route 91). Glade Stone is on the right, approximaltely 1.5 miles.
