Arkansas Visible Emissions / Opacity Standard
The opacity limit for Arkansas is 40% opacity for equipment in operation before Jan 30, 1972 (one 6-min exception up to 3x/day); 20% for new incinerators/fuel-burning equipment (brief exceedance to 60%); 20% for manufacturing process equipment, as established under APC&EC Rule 19.503.
Compliance is demonstrated via EPA Method 9.
Averaging period: 6-minute average (consistent with EPA Method 9)
